Your Challenge


As DevOps you are a productivity multiplier for our software engineers. In agile teams you will design, build and operate tools and systems to drive our product development for the largest European physician network. We are convinced that operational ownership of products belongs in the engineering teams and live the principle "You build it - You run it". We work closely on product development to promote meaningful, scalable system design and are responsible for diagnosing, resolving and preventing production incidents. Your role includes the following main points:

  • You will design, implement and operate systems (based on Docker and Amazon Web Services) that reduce unnecessary efforts for the further development and operation of our online applications

  • You help your team to build optimal continuous integration with multi-level quality gates to ensure a high development speed

  • You automate the deployment pipeline that allows your team to continuously deliver new features to our users with minimal effort

  • You expand the monitoring system (monitoring, logging, alerting) for live operation and ensure that your team knows the state of health of their services at all times

  • You evolve our SRE practices and treat operations as if it's a software problem

  • As an agile engineer you will be actively involved in the optimization of our agile processes

  • You live at the pulse of the Internet, love the use of new technologies and consistently look to broaden your knowledge and expertise

Your Potential

  • Completed studies in computer science or business informatics or a comparable education (e.g. IT specialist for system integration or application development)

  • Several years of professional experience as a software engineer in an agile environment with experience in one or more DevOps areas such as continuous integration, deployment pipelines, monitoring, and container orchestration

  • Very good knowledge of virtualized infrastructure and hosting operations in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud

  • Passion for good tooling and low tolerance for reactive and repetitive tasks

  • Strong interest in open source, container technology and fun with "Infrastructure-as-Code"

  • IIdeally knowledge in the administration of Unix-like systems and network knowledge regarding DNS / Routing / Load-Balancing
